Often times we forget that writing is about make the audience feel something. Human nature being what it is, we might find that when we write, we’re out to please ourselves first. And that’s okay sometimes. What’s not okay is letting your emotions run you, especially while writing. Here is an article I wrote on the subject.

Miracleverse Book Reviews: Stormbreaker

This is the first book review for the Miracleverse. It’s called Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz. Stormbreaker was the first book that I had actually finished reading in my life. I know that sounds pretty sad, seeing I was in my early twenties when I first bought the book. The simple, crisp style of the novel served as a great base for me to begin writing Union Cross. Is English Composition still key in Education

What you’ll find at any educational institution is that you’ll have to take English composition classes. The reason for this is that no matter what you end up doing, no matter what your major is, what degree you graduate with, or what industry you want to work in, communicating a message through use of the printed word will always be vital. Video Games as Fiction Idea Generators

Honestly, this is something that I’ve always wanted to write about. Most of my fans know that I grew up a huge video gamer, with a particularly odd preference to fighting games. Tekken, Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom, King of Fighters, Soul Caliber (not so much, but it was still a factor), Super Smash Brothers, and Fatal Fury. I believe they all played an integral role in my growth as person of creativity, and ultimately as a person of creative writing. Here’s an article about how to combine the two. Enjoy!

No Such Thing as Writer’s Block

It’s so easy to get caught in the idea of “Writer’s Block.” It’s the easiest excuse in the world to just tell people “Oh man, I was working on this great, great story. But as soon I as was really getting into it, I got this Writer’s Block and I couldn’t do it. Eh well.” I think writing is about stamina and endurance. Who’s tougher? Who’s stronger? Who can last longer? The part of you that wants the story done or the part of you that wants everything to be easy. If you allow Writer’s Block to control you, then you have chosen the latter. This article here gives you some tips on how to defend yourself from the side of your emotions that wants you to quit.

Updated on the 19th of every month at 3:05 PM ET starting July 2011.

Burning Within: The Ministry of David Johnson - From his troubled childhood to conquering the sins of his past, witness the origin story of the Miracleverse’s most celebrated warrior. The 22-part series will be updated twice a month on the 6th and the 22nd at 3:05 PM ET starting August 2011.

Total Faith: The Mysterious Origin of Walker - This origin story delves into Walker’s shrouded past. With this boy, God has created a work of art. But as you’ll see in the series, in order to create a masterpiece, you have to use some dark colors. The Top Five MMA All-Time Records

There is much debate in the mixed martial arts community on who is the best fighter in the world. Fans, reporters, analysis, even the fighters and promoters themselves continue to go back and forth on the terms of what qualifies a fighter to be on the “pound-for-pound” list. Most of the lists you see on sites like ESPN, Sherdog, and MMAjunkie are based on current fighters fighting current opponents. This list, however, deals more with the idea of a fighter’s legacy and looks at the greatest MMA win-loss records of all time.

The list complied is based on several factors: total wins and losses, the quality of the wins and losses, the time period of both the fighter and the opponent. Only fighters with at least 20 wins make the list. At least five consecutive wins (without a draw) must be from premier organizations (UFC, Pride, Strikeforce). Each fighter appearing on the list will not exceed 10 losses. (I would love to make an exception for Dan Severn, but it wouldn’t be fair.) Hope you enjoy!
